Create bootable USB drive with Rufus

You can use the Rufus tool on Windows to copy the Hollywood AMD64 or ARM64 ISO to a USB drive. This will create a bootable drive that you can use as a live environment or install Hollywood to disk.

Hollywood does not work with BIOS based systems. These directions are to create a proper UEFI based installer disk. Any attempts to use MBR/BIOS based settings may render the disk unbootable.

Required Settings

  • Partition Scheme: GPT
  • Target System: UEFI (non CSM)
  • File System: FAT32

Other options may be left as their defaults.

IMPORTANT It is highly recommended you do not change your Volume label. Rufus will select the proper volume label, either HWAMD64 or HWARM64. Changing these labels from the default may render the USB device unbootable.

ISO or DD mode?

When prompted after clicking START you should select ISO Image Mode instead of DD mode. This will allow you to place additional data on the disk.
