Originull Software - Privacy Policy

Originull Software is committed to your privacy and placing your digital rights first and foremost in everything that we do. We do not collect or use any of your data for any reason, except in the following scenarios.

When you access our website or web services, your IP address, page(s) requested, and browser's agent string may be stored temporarily. This information is cleared periodically, and is held for no more than six months. If you do not consent to this, please close your browser immediately.

The Originull Depot is the sole official source for all Hollywood system packages and for the Application Market. The Originull Depot is at https://depot.originull.org and is direct to an Originull owned & operated server. Usage of this web service is governed by the web services statement above. Basic usage of the Hollywood operating system, including obtaining the software and obtaining additional packages that are free & open source will require you to provide no additional personally identifiable information.

The Hollywood operating system during usage of a base system will not communicate outside to the Internet except in the following circumstances:

• A software update is requested via apk or the Software Update system settings applet.
  • The host for these communications is depot.originull.org port 443 tcp.
• You are browsing the Application Depot market pages in application.
  • The host for these communications is depot.originull.org port 443 tcp.
• You have enabled automatic network time updates.
  • The host for these communications is time.ntp.org port 123 udp

Additional applications installed from Application Depot will have their own privacy policy and network communications requirements. You should check their privacy policy for more information. The list above is inclusive of standard system operations and does not include user initiated communications through provided network tools (web browsers, network tools such as whois, netcat, wget, et cetera.). The Hollywood operating system does not contain any built-in telemetry or analytics services.

The Originull Depot servers are located in the United States of America, State of California. All applicable laws apply to data stored and retrieved from the Originull Depot.

Originull Software may request your name, e-mail address and other personally identifiable information for optional additional features including opt-in news update notifications, package update notifications, and more. When Originull Software requests this data, it will be provided over secure channels and maintained in secure databases. Only Originull Software staff who require this information to provide you the requested services will have access to this data. This data will only be utilized to provide you the services requested at your option. Originull software will not sell or otherwise provide this information to any third party. In compliance with laws including GDPR and CCPA; if you choose to participate in optional services that require your personal information, you have a right to inspect all personal information retained on you by Originull Software, or have full deletion of your account and personal data at any time. Originull Software extends these rights to all users regardless of their legal jurisdiction and applicability of laws such as GDPR and CCPA. The Originull website (https://originull.org) and ISO mirror https://mirror.originull.org utilizes the Cloudflare content delivery network. Access to the Originull front-end website will result in your IP address, browser user agent and pages requested to Cloudflare for request fulfillment. This communication is also subject to the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. This does not include Originull Depot services.

Originull Software utilizes GitHub for source code repository control. Usage of the Hollywood git repositories is subject to the GitHub Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Originull Software operates an official Discord server for community engagement. If you wish to engage with this server, you accept the Discord Privacy Policy. Furthermore you understand and accept that this is a public forum and that your messages may be logged or retained by other members at any time. If you do not agree to these terms you should not engage with the Discord server.

We do not require or collect cookies in any way other than as described above. Depending on where you live, you may be asked to consent to one or more privacy-concerning matters. While we may be legally obligated to inform you of these matters, we currently do not use this information in any way.
